We arrived in Wanaka in the south island, and the weather was just too nice not to try to go flying…
Which I did from Treble Cone mountain! 4 beautiful flights in the nice autumn weather.
Here is the video and some picts. I love flying!
Our second stay in Costa Rica was definitely the best, probably because we escaped the surf beaches to focus on the natural reserves. From Arenal volcanoes in the north, to Platanillo’s forests in the center, and Corcovado Natural Reserve beautiful hikes and dives deep south, you will find the whole “Wild Costa Rica” experience in this video!
You can also find the full photo album here!
Now we are off to California! Stay tuned;-)
We took the road from Arenal Volcano area to Serequipe River to reach one of the countries most famous rafting site, rated level 3 & 4.
Kids loved it: it was so much fun to race the white waters while crossing beautiful sceneries.
Here is the action packed video!
Dive with kids in the natural reserve of Isla Cana, the countries top dive site off Drake’s bay with tight usage restrictions to preserve the wildlife… and we did see plenty!
From sharks to turtles and huge schools of fishes, it was a good spot to get back to scuba-diving… Kids could give it a try: that’s the next challenge for them if we find countries that allow kids below 12 yo to dive (it seems you can only do it in France so far)….!
Discovery of a beautiful country blessed by nature and wonderful people. From the coast to volcanoes and ancient colonial cities, take the tour with us to experience the “Nica Vida” lifestyle.
A month in Costa Rica with endless beaches discoveries, magic sunsets, unforgettable jungle hikes, perfect surfing, and hardcore kiteboarding…
Here is the video of this first part of our Costa Rica visit.
Now we are off to Nicaragua, and back in Costa Rica in 3 weeks to further explore the south of the country.
She made it.
The Challenge was to surf in “real” conditions, far from the small and mellow waves of Northeast Brazil, and she had to surf Playa Avellanas with solid “barreling” waves, with some sets at 2 meters…
Despite some serious crashes at the beginning of each session, she finally got the right paddling / take-off timing to make some good waves with surfers encouraging her to charge!
Here is the video and some nice pictures: GO JADE, GO!

Before we left the Caribbeans, we could do a quick stop in the French islands, Guadeloupe and Martinique, probably some of the largest and nicest islands of the region!
Here is a quick video of the adventure in the “Creoles Islands” that offer beautiful nature and warm welcome (with a french touch)!
Next stop: Costa Rica!
The British Virgin Islands are known worldwide for their wonderful diving sites, and we could dive (snorkel) in some of the most famous spots, including the Baths on Virgin Gorda island, the Caves on Norman island, and The Indians & Rainbow Canyons on Pelican island.
The family could enjoy each dive, each site having unique characteristics: different coral structures, fishes, and underwater sceneries, from caves to canyons.
We share here a few pictures and the video of those amazing submarine sceneries and wildlife.
